How do I upload a video?

On the Explore screen, hit the red plus button on the bottom of the screen. You will be taken to the Record screen. From the Record screen, you can either tap the red button to begin recording or tap the rectangle on the left bottom of the screen to choose a video from your phone ’ s Camera Roll.

How long can my video be?

Your video can be no longer th an 90 seconds.

Can I upload a video taken from my drone?

Yes. Just save the video to your Camera Roll on your smartphone and upload using the Crierspost app on the Record screen.

Can I upload a video taken from my action camera?

Yes. Just save the video to your Camera Roll on your smartphone and upload using the Crierspost app on the Record screen.

How do I share a video with someone else?

Tap on the video you wish to share. At the bottom of the screen you can tap to share the video.

How do I enter Crierspost’s contests?

Crierspost occasionally runs contests for users that have subscribed to receive future Crierspost news. You can subscribe using your email address on Crierspost ’ s home page at www.crierspost.com.

How can I delete a video that I’ve previously posted?

On your Profile screen, under “My Posts,” tap “view all.” From there, you can see all the videos that you have posted and have the ability to delete from this screen.

What is the difference between “starring a video” and making a video a “favorite”?

Starred videos will appear on the Search screen as “Trending Videos” for a certain length of time.

Can I comment on videos posted by others?

No. Crierspost does not allow users to comment on videos posted by other users.

Where can I view and search for videos on Crierspost?

You can view and search for videos on both the Crierpost app and website.

Why can’t I upload videos using the Crierspost website?

Currently, the Crierspost app is the exclusive means by which to upload videos.

Can my Crierpost account be suspended or terminated?

Yes. Failure to follow Crierspost’s Terms of Use and CP Rules available on the app and at http://www.crierspost.com/terms-of-use and http://www.crierspost.com/cp-rules may result in termination of your account. Please review such information prior to posting any content.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Please refer to Crierspost’s Terms of Use and CP Rules available on the app and at http://www.crierspost.com/terms-of-useand http://www.crierspost.com/cp-rules. After review of the Terms of Use, if you believe that a video contains inappropriate content and wish to report it to Crierspost, each video (other than those that you yourself have posted) allow you the opportunity to report the post, report the user, or block the user. Tap on the video that you wish to report. At the top right of the screen you will find a Reporting Button represented as an exclamation point (!) in a circle. Tap this exclamation point and you will be directed to a screen where you can report the post, report the user, or block the user.

How can I change my password?

Go to the Settings screen where you have the ability to change your password.

Is Crierspost limited to cities and towns in the United States?

Currently, Crierspost is only targeting the cities and towns in the United States. In the future, this may change.

What is the "Live Here" category?

The "Live Here" category exists to allow users to post and view videos about what it is like to live in a town or city on a day-to-day basis and a general catch-all for a quick summary about the town or city. This category was intended to help people who are looking to move to a new area.

What is the "Visit Here" category?

The "Visit Here" category exists to allow users to post and view videos about how tourists choose to spend their time in towns and cities. This category was intended to help people visiting an area to obtain a general overview.

Will I use my cellular data when posting and viewing videos on the Crierspost app?

Yes. Unless you are connected to WiFi or have opted out on your device, you will incur cellular data usage charge from your carrier if you use the Crierspost app.

Who developed the Crierspost app and website?

Thank you for asking, we are proud of the work that went into the development of our app and website as well. Our developer was San Diego-based company, BitCot, Inc. BitCot's owner, Raj Sanghvi is a computer scientist leading a team of 30-plus engineers to transform dreams into magnificent works of art in web and mobile app development. Troubleshooting
Why can’t I hear the audio on the videos?

Make sure your smartphone is not on silent. The app currently does not allow you to hear audio on videos un less your smartphone is taken off silent mode.

Why can’t I zoom when recording a video from the Record screen?

The app currently does not have a zoom feature when recording videos from the Record screen. If you want to post a video using the zoom feature, you can record a video using your phone’s regular camera app, save the video to your Camera Roll, and then upload the video to the app from your Camera Roll.

Why doesn’t the city/town where I took the video appear as an available location?

The app currently uses Google map technology in determining location. This technology sometimes fails to distinguish between suburbs of major cities. If you find that you are in this situation, Crierspost invites you to please specify the location in the video description.

How can I report an issue with the app or website?
